How often do you empty my scrap metal wheelie bin?
Most of our customers are contacted every 6 weeks, we send you an email a few days before the collection date and then a reminder text the afternoon before, we advise our customers to have the bins accessible for us on collection days, but please do not put them out on display. (we can tailor make the service to work for you)
When do I get paid?
Your money is paid directly into your nominated bank account within 5 working days (usually 2/3 days). Please remember that we pay the equivalent prices to your local scrap yard.
What can I put in my wheelie bin?
What metal can you recycle?
You can put all cable, copper, brass, lead, aluminium, stainless steel and lead acid batteries. Regarding larger items, please leave them next to the wheelie bin on collection days, ie copper cylinders, boilers, radiators etc. We are more than happy to collect your general scrap metal steel items as well. However, it is important to note that we cannot offer any payment for this particular type of scrap metal. Please keep in mind that we do not accept fridges or freezers as part of our collection service.
What is this service going to cost me?
The service is totally free and there are no contracts that we tie you into.
How do we make our money if we pay the same as the local scrap yards?
Because we sell our scrap materials to the same places as the local scrap yards do.
Can I receive cash for my scrap metal?
Can you get paid for metal?
It is illegal to pay cash for scrap metal as part of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013, all Scrap Metal Dealers have to pay by bank transfer or by cheque for scrap metal purchased.
